Albel wins Duchy Weaponmaster

On January 4th, we had a Duchy level Weaponmaster. With lots of honor, participants battled out in the bearpit, and climbed the brackets.

The winner of the tournament, who won his tiebreaker fight, was Albel of Shrouding Mist. Dakaran Obsidyn took second place, and Drusk took third place.

Unfortunately, Albel passed after a vehicle collision the following weekend. There is a fundraiser for his partner, Seren Idiankos, that has reached it’s goal, though support knows no upper bounds.

For folks looking to get better at foam fighting, there are many capable fighters who claim Greenwood Keep as their home. I would also recommend going to fighter practices, on Friday nights at 5:30 at our usual pavillion. Morkere has lamps, so that we can fight despite the daylight!

Park Campout

Postponed to the March 1st Althing, we will have a vote on bids on if we’d like to host a park level campout again next summer. To be considered in the February althing, bids are due on February 18th., either messaged directly to the monarchy or posted on the discord server.

In your bids, outline the basics of an event one would like to run. Identify your location, cost and budget, crats (volunteers in charge), a theme if desired, schedules, and any special considerations you’d like to include. Include the break-even amount of attendees paying gate fees.

Wicker Basket has entered in a bid to propose to the land.

Summer Reign!

We have declarations for our summer monarchy!

Lady Ginevra the Fair One has declared for Duchess, Vicountess Heron Lamana has (not) declared for Regent, and Bun (just-Bun) has declared for champion. I have full confidence in the summer team, and we can look forward to a summer full of fun!

Starting February 1st and ending at Midreign, I will hold a collaborative challenge, the Reeve Qualification Challenge of 2026

So what is it?

The RQC26 is an effort to get the whole park to work together towards a goal of getting as many of our folks Reeve qualified as possible, with prizes in store for everyone involved! Here’s how it’s going to work: There will be two main aspects of the challenge – The Group Goals and the Raffles

The Group Goals

These are the main event! For every person reeve qualified, we get one step closer to each goal and the prize along with it! Each goal is hidden until we meet the previous one, with only the reeve count known in advance. Take a look to see what we start with and what our final prize could be if we reach our stretch goal:

  • First goal (20 Reeves): Homemade cookies for the park!
  • Second goal (25 Reeves): ??
  • Third goal (32 Reeves): ??
  • Fourth goal (40 Reeves): ??
  • Final stretch goal (50 Reeves): Bazaar, Crow Party and potluck!

The Raffles

Regardless of if or when we reach other goals, a raffle will be drawn at the end of each month (or the next available Sunday)! So how do you get your name in? Simple, be Reeve Qualified. That’s it! Every one of our reeves are entered into the raffle automatically each month that they remain qualified. The raffles have a prize pool for our lucky reeve of the month to choose from:

→ RQC26 Belt Pouch

→ RQC26 Reeve Sash

→ Scroll of Healing

→ Scroll of Mending Raffle rules:

  • Participants may receive up to two additional chances in the raffle by assisting in reeving games throughout the month
  • Raffle entry for the month closes the last day of the month. If you take the test the day of, your name may be submitted in the next raffle instead
  • Additional chances do not carry over to the next month
